0.9 mile swim, 25.5 mile bike, 6.2 mile run

The Oxford Olympic Triathlon Trailer from CinematicEye on Vimeo.

Welcome to the official site of the Oxford Olympic distance triathlon, to be held at a hidden gem in Warren County called Furnace Lake, located in the historical township of Oxford, which was a small village known for its iron production from 1741-1884.

This year's inaugural event promises to be the most challenging Olympic distance triathlon ever offered in NJ.

The Oxford Olympic triathlon is located about 70-80 miles from both New York and Philadelphia, and we expect will pull top talent from both metropolitan areas!

It begins with a beautiful calm swim in Furnace Lake, a 1-loop swim covering the perimeter of the lake. The close proximity to shore the entire way should help sighting and reduce anxiety.

The bike course is also one loop on quiet scenic roads throughout Warren County where you will experience rolling hills with steady climbs and technical descents. Most of the course takes place on county roads with wide shoulders and minimal traffic.

You'll finish with a nice out and back run that brings you out along the dam that created the lake, then an out and back on a quiet wooded road leading to an old stone quarry.  Runners will then return towards the lake for a scenic finish along the waterfront.
